Sunday Night Football Theme Song: Carrie Underwood vs. Faith Hill

Carrie UnderwoodThis past Sunday, country superstar Carrie Underwood premiered the new, “revamped” Sunday Night Football theme song for the NBC network.  Underwood took over the duties this year after Faith Hill has sung the theme song for many years.  While many thought it was an admirable entry, many loyal SNF (Sunday Night Football) fans are demanding Faith Hill be brought back to sing the theme song.  They think Underwood’s performance was sub par.  Read More…

Miley CyrusFormer Disney Star Miley Cyrus did her best to shed her Hanana Montana image at MTV’s Video Music Awards (VMA).  “Shedding” her image wasn’t the only thing she ended up doing.  The “actress/singer” had the most talked about performance of the night.  Her raunchy dancing and pitchy singing was simply ridiculous and a sad commentary of a little girl seeking attention.  Read More…

Is Robin Thicke’s video “Blurred Lines” degrading to women?

Robin Thicke, T.I. and Pharrell Williams“Blurred Lines” is the latest hit from R&B singer Robin Thicke.  The song features vocals from rapper T.I. and singer/producer Pharrell.  Two music videos were released on YouTube: a censored and uncensored version (the uncensored which was for a time banned on the video-sharing site).  In both versions the men are surrounded by models.  Despite being released in March, the music video is still garnering backlash from critics.  Read More…
