EA Sports pulls Patrick Kane from NHL ‘16 video game cover amid police investigation

Electronic Sports has decided to remove the image of star Chicago Blackhawks hockey player, Patrick Kane, from the upcoming video game ahead of its September 15^th release. An investigation is underway as to whether Kane sexually abused a woman while visiting his hometown of Hamburg, New York in early August. The NHL as well as Blackhawks owner, Rocky Wirtz, have only stated they are aware of the investigation and will continue to monitor the situation.

Donald Trump continues to prove he is irrelevant

It’s been a while since I last posted on a politics. With an upcoming, presidential election in 2016 I thought it a good time to get back into the thick of the hot-mess we call the American political system. Over the weekend, Donald Trump stated that he did not think Sen. John McCain (AZ-R) is a “war-hero.” He believes he only received this distinction because he got caught; and Donald doesn’t like people who get caught. These comments come on the heel of his controversial statements on the current state of illegal immigration. Trump believes that many of the country’s undocumented workers, specifically from Mexico, are criminals.

Kim Kardashian West has done it again. Kim posted a photo of her cover shot on Paper Magazine last night on her Instagram account alongside with the comment #BreaktheInternet. The photos immediately drew outrage and criticism from people who thought that they were not only lewd but inappropriate for a mother. The controversy consumed nearly every media and “news” outlet the next morning.

Melissa McCarthy’s Elle cover sparks controversy

Melissa McCarthy’s recent cover on Elle magazine has ignited debate as to why the comedic actress donned a long coat on the cover.  Many dissenters accused the magazine of covering the actress up because of her figure.  They point to previous covers of other starlets who wore more scantily clad attires.  They are convinced the magazine decided to mostly cover Melissa because she was too “fat.” 

Miley Cyrus Twerks her way to “Pitchy Stripper” Obscurity at the VMA

Former Disney Star Miley Cyrus did her best to shed her Hanana Montana image at MTV’s Video Music Awards (VMA).  “Shedding” her image wasn’t the only thing she ended up doing.  The “actress/singer” had the most talked about performance of the night.  Her raunchy dancing and pitchy singing was simply ridiculous and a sad commentary of a little girl seeking attention. 

Halle Berry and Jennifer Garner Take on Paparazzi

On Tuesday, celebrities Halle Berry and Jennifer Garner appeared at a legislative hearing in California to urge passage of a bill that would increase penalties against paparazzi that “harass” the children of celebrities.  They argue that the paparazzi can take as many pictures of them as they like, despite their chagrin, but when it comes to their children they should exhibit restraint in the best interest of the child.
